That’s the modern version. The classic, original version is The Lady of the Lake handing Arthur Excalibur.
i like sir lancelot and king arthur
This movie is pure comedy genius. Presenting a conflict between long adored ancient king meets a system of government logically profound in an autocracy in the most unexpected spot. Genius
Hilariously enough, 37 would have been nigh-venerable in this time period.
I think it’s mocking political debate and those who are overly concerned with a perceived “big picture” that is in fact quite narrow in scope, rather than any political leanings specifically. But, perhaps I’m reading too much into a bit from a movie that involves the line “I fart in your general direction!”. Great scene, regardless.
SHUT UP, WILL YOU SHUT UP?!
Help Help Im being supressed!!!
my favorite part
watery tart =)
Oh, no you didn’t! No way did you insult the Lady of the Lake!
This cracks me up, constantly. xD
Favorited!
“Oh king, eh? Very nice.”
now we see the voilence inherited in the system,BLOODY PHESANT lol
I love this part of the movie…
I AM ARTHUR KING OF THE BRITTINS!
to daferocious1:
Yes it’s hilarious, so funny when people don’t get that in this case it is the far-left that is being mocked.
stone
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!
brilliant, to this day, i still quote it
I thought it was from a stone? not an anvil
my favorite monty python skit
‘Well you can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!’
An anarchist commune can only have a constitution or declaration of rights if everyone who could contract signed it. Those who didn’t would not be a part of that commune
actually the legend is that he pulled a sword out of an anvil to become king. still as funny as hell though…
my god….what have we done? ._.
should’ve killed him -.-
I was up in B.C. two summers ago and this Canadian said that it was the single greatest attack on the British monarchy in cinema history. Pretty funny!!
Did you see him repressing me? You saw it didn’t you?
haha
I’m just suprised that someone from the dark or Middle age knows about goverment and poltics XD
That is my most fave sence from Monty Python and the holy grail XD
